How do I get started using a BRAUMS evCHARGE charger?
It is as simple as SCAN, PAY, CHARGE. Simply use your smart device to SCAN the QR code on the charger you wish to use with the camera in your device. Then confirm your PAYment method. Start CHARGING. No need to download apps or become a member of a program.

How do I know how much it will cost to charge my car or bike?
Great question. It is very similar to putting petrol in your car in olden times. During the SCAN PAY CHARGE process, you will be advised of the fees for charging, before you commence charging your car - similar to knowing the price per litre of petrol before you start filling the car. It is your choice to 'fill er up' or stop charging prior.

How much will it cost to charge my car?
Pricing varies depending on the charging location. Some are free at all times, some charge a per kWh rate. As a general guideline, slower chargers usually cost less and faster chargers usually cost more. The fees for using the BRAUMS evCHARGE network are always displayed prior to commencing charging so it is clear and easy to understand how much it will cost to charge your car.

Can I stay in the charging bay after my car is charged?
Usually, yes, there is a little while longer you can stay in the charging bay after your car has finished charging. The length of time differs between locations and charger types. Please be careful to note the fees that applies to the charger you are using each time. There may be additional fees to stay in a charging bay after your car has finished charging.
Also, please consider other EV drivers that may want to use the charging bay to top up their vehicles as well.

How long will it take to charge my car?
This one is tricky to answer as it depends on the speed of the charger, the vehicle being charged, the size of the battery, the level of charge already in the car when you start charging and even the temperature. However, the following can be used as a rule-of-thumb for how many kilometres of range can be added per hour of charging based on the type of charger being used:
- 7kW - Up to 40km
- 22kW - Up to 120km
- 50kW - Up to 300km
- 150kW+ - Up to 900km
